‘Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III’ to Feature Largest Zombies Map in Series History

Activision has disclosed details about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III, providing further insights into the upcoming installment of the revamped series. Notably, enthusiasts of Call of Duty’s Zombies mode can anticipate an exciting experience. Activision guarantees the largest map ever seen in this mode, allowing players to join forces with other squads and confront “massive hordes” of zombies in their quest for survival.

While Sledgehammer Games is leading the development of Modern Warfare III, a number of other Activision studios are lending a hand. Treyarch, one of the core developers of Call of Duty, handled this year’s Zombies mode, which tells the story of “Dark Aether”. Along with secrets to uncover and many missions to explore, Zombies features an “open-world PvE pick-me-up survival experience” and some of the biggest enemies in franchise history, Activision said.

Of course, Zombies isn’t the only important multiplayer mode, and MWIII pays homage to one of the highlights of the series. All 16 original multiplayer maps from the 2009 version of Modern Warfare 2 are available at launch. Sledgehammer has modernized classic maps like Terminal and Highrise with new modes and gameplay features. More than 12 new six vs. six maps will arrive in the coming seasons.

The jump features three new Battle Maps to do it in Ground War and Invasion modes, as well as a War Map. The latter marks the return of War Mode, which made its series bow in 2017’s Call of Duty: WWll.

You can expect fresh movement mechanics like Tac-Stance for tactical melee combat. Activision says Sledgehammer has improved the reload cancel and slide cancel mechanics, while you should find faster aiming off the slide. Meanwhile, all perks are available at the start of multiplayer, including a new silent move called Covert Sneakers.

Many players will be happy to hear that the classic red dot minimap is back after Infinity Ward left it out of last year’s Modern Warfare II. There will be a map voting system, while Sledgehammer has increased players health, which increases kill time – I’m sure players won’t have any opinions about this change.

You don’t necessarily need to start your multiplayer gear collection from scratch. Last week, Activision confirmed that for the first time, players will be able to transfer almost all of their Unlocked items (including weapons and operators) from Modern Warfare II to Modern Warfare III.

In addition to all the multiplayer features, there is a small thing in the campaign. A direct sequel to last year’s game, this continues the Modern Warfare storyline with Task Force 141 on a quest to take down the ultra-nationalist villain Vladmir Makarov. This time there is a new type of mission called Open Combat. This allows players to choose their own path through the level and have multiple ways to achieve their goals. These levels were designed to work around players’ preferred playstyles, so if you like a stealthy approach to an all-guns-burning game, you might appreciate their flexibility.

Activision has also released a new gameplay trailer, supporting speculation that the controversial No Russian mission is a remake of the original Modern Warfare 2. The phrase “No Russian” appears in the text message before the recipient points the gun. while walking through the plane.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III arrives on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (via Steam and Battle.net) on November 10. There is a free open beta in advance, and pre-subscribers get early access. These people can also play the campaign up to a week before the game’s official release date.
